The 2016 Summer RailFest will be held on Saturday, July 9 at Railroad Park and feature a phenomenal music lineup including national headline performer Shwayze.
Gates will open at 3 p.m. Attendees can bring lawn chairs as well as blankets to set up and watch performers, which along with Shwayze, include Winston Ramble, Cam Spike and the 58’s, The Southern Boys Band, The Dozens, and The Elijah Butler Band. Ronda Robinson from Fox 6/WBRC will be a special guest.
RailFest will be hosted by RailSmart, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate the public on the importance of rail transport and rail safety in our communities. RailFest will feature Birmingham’s best food vendors, a RailKids fun zone run by our friends over at Alabama Family Connections, as well as showcase local musicians and small businesses. It’s an experience guaranteed to bring our community together for a summer evening of fellowship, friends, and fun in Birmingham.
Advance tickets for the event, which will be held rain or shine, are $10 and $18 at the gate. VIP access, which includes VIP section access, food and a beverage, is also available for $75. For more information, visit the RailFest website.
