Splash Pads
Grab your swimsuits and head over to any of the splash pads available in Gardendale, Midfield, Leeds and Trussville. If you’re up for a little road trip, head to Springville or Huntsville to check out their splash pads.
Alabama Splash Adventure
You can head to Alabama Splash Adventure and cool off just about any way you imagine. From Drop Zone to Teacups, there is something for kids of all ages. Season passes are available.
Birmingham Zoo

McWane Center
Want to find your inner superhero? Head to the McWane Center’s Hall of Heroes exhibit, which will be opened until September 5. Starting your journey in the Identification Station guests will learn about, and get sorted into, one of the five disciplines that are the basis for all super powers: Powers of the Body, Powers of the Mind, Mastery, Gadgets, and the Elements. These five powers are reflected throughout the exhibit where guests can explore, learn and test their skills at the many interactive stations to find out what discipline of Superhero they excel in.
Steel City Jump Park
The fun never ends at Steel City Jump Park where there are activities for kids of all ages, including Open Jump and Basketball Dumping. On July 31, they will host a superhero lock-in, and they have weekly camps available. Check out the website for more information.
Grants Mill Station Adventure Park
Located in Irondale, Grants Mill Station has beginner and advanced courses for all ages. They also offer mini golf, pedal karts and rock climbing. Visit their website for more information.
