Jacquisa Gibson wants to pamper your princess.
Gibson, the owner of Tickle Me Pretty spa, will open her Hueytown storefront on July 21 with a grand opening event that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
“I decided to create Tickle Me Pretty because I noticed how my kids like to have fun in make-up, but by being an educator, I saw a need to boost our female self-esteem up. I saw how bullying was tearing us down and the fact that girls would pick on other girl because they don’t fit a certain criteria per se. Tickle Me Pretty was created to show that just because we don’t look and act the same doesn’t mean we aren’t beautiful. Girls need to know no matter what happens, girls should always dream big, be bold, be you,” Gibson said.
The new storefront will have everything a little girl needs to be pampered to perfection. During the grand opening, there will be free food, free makeovers, and free giveaways. Also, Nola Ice will be there selling their shaved ice. After the grand opening, the fun is just getting started, and it won’t be limited to just the storefront. Tickle Me Pretty will also continue to have a mobile component.
“We will travel pretty much anywhere,” Gibson said. “If you live within the Jefferson County limits, there is no additional charge, but outside of Jefferson County but still within the state’s limit is a $40 traveling fee. We will travel outside of the state, but the fee is based upon where we are going.”
Whether you’re visiting the storefront or letting Tickle Me Pretty come to your party location, be prepared to relax and have a good time right along with your guests.
“When people book us, they should expect for us to come out, set up, create the spa experience for the girls, and have a good time. We provide everything except for the food. We have several packages to choose from. We have the personal spa experience, BFF spa package, basic spa party, spa party deluxe, pajama jam, and the pajama jam deluxe. Once the store opens, we will have parties as well as walk-in appointments,” she said.
“My biggest thing I would want people to know about working with me is that when it all boils down to it, it’s about the kids. We don’t want anyone leaving unhappy.”
Tickle Me Pretty’s storefront is located at 1473 Hueytown Road Hueytown, AL 35023. To book an event, call 205-558-8109, visit their website, or connect online at Facebook, Periscope, Instagram or Twitter.
