Movies and more are happening in the Magic City this weekend.
Peanuts
Arguably the biggest ticket in town this weekend is the Peanuts movie. This 3D version of the cartoon classic includes the entire cast and follows main character Charlie Brown on his quest to get back home. Check out www.peanutsmovie.com where you can get tons of activities, including the Peanutize Me feature, which allows you to turn yourself into a Peanuts character.
Locally, the On the Set Summer Film Camp will present its eighth annual Premiere and Awards Show at the Alabama Theatre on Thursday, November 5. Deemed the best film camp in the country, On the Set teaches filmmaking to kids between the ages of eight and 18. The campers go to various locations and shoot a film starring real Hollywood actors. This year’s film, Young Summer, stars actress Brely Evans and is hosted by Carl Anthony Payne and Young Joc. Tickets for the premiere are $10 at the door, and there will also be a performance by Young Joc. For more information visit www.onthesetcamp.com.
The Man in 3B
For fans of New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber, his novel The Man in 3B hits theatres this weekend. Daryl Graham, played by Lamman Rucker, is loved by everyone when he moves into his Queens apartment—until someone is murdered.
