Looking for a way to celebrate Black History Month? Head over to the Black Heritage Expo on February 13 at the Birmingham Public Library Central.
The free event entitled Sankofa: Looking Back to Move Forward will be presented by the Birmingham African-American Genealogy Group. It will be held from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the fourth-floor auditorium of the Linn Henley Building (2100 Park Place). As part of the expo, there will be door prizes, speakers, black history displays, African dance, black music, and art. Vendors will also be on site.
