Urban Ministry is delighted to announce that 2016 CNN Hero and Thistle Farms founder/president, Becca Stevens will keynote the annual Table of Hope fundraiser this year.
Set for Thursday, October 6 at the historic Florentine (2102 2nd Avenue North), Table of Hope is Urban Ministry’s largest fundraiser of the year offering guests an evening featuring fine dining, a silent auction and inspiring stories from Becca Stevens, one of our country’s visionary leaders. Table of Hope will be emceed by Urban Ministry board member and FOX 6 News anchor Janet Hall. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for silent auction bidding to begin in the café. Dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m. in the ballroom, where Becca Stevens will speak. Individual tickets are $150. Tables are available for corporations and organizations to purchase for $1,500. Sponsorship opportunities are also an option.
Becca Stevens is an author, speaker, social entrepreneur, and the founder and president of Thistle Farms, the largest social enterprise in the U.S. run by survivors. She has been featured in the New York Times, on ABC World News, NPR, PBS, and CNN. In 2011, the White House named Stevens a “Champion of Change.” Recently, Stevens was featured in the PBS documentary, A Path Appears, named Humanitarian of the Year in 2014 by the Small Business Council of America as well as the TJ Martell Foundation, inducted into the Tennessee Women’s Hall of Fame and was conferred an honorary doctorate by Sewanee: The University of the South.
