Lately, there just seems to be so much sickness both physically and emotionally around me. Today, please join me in praying for those who are sick and need healing.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you thanking you for this day. I thank you, Lord, for all your many blessings. I thank you for the opportunity to once again come before your throne of grace.

Today, Lord, I come lifting those who are sick to you. Whether the person is suffering with a minor cold, a chronic illness or they have been given an unfavorable life-altering or possibly life-ending diagnosis, I know, Lord, you can heal. Psalm 30:2 tells me if I call for help, you will heal, so I’m interceding on behalf of all those who need your healing touch right now. Give them strength to endure whatever they are going through and comfort them in a way that only you can. Open doors that no man can open for them to encounter the right people and receive the right treatment. If finances is an obstacle to them receiving the treatment they need, remove it and whatever other obstacles are blocking them from restored health.

Lord, I also ask your blessing upon those suffering from mental sickness. I know there are so many people suffering in silence or whose actions are misunderstood. Please bless them with the right diagnoses and treatments in order to restore their minds. Bless them with people in their lives who can offer them the support and encouragement they need.

Lord, being sick is not easy. It’s not something that anyone desires, but even in sickness we praise you. Even with bad diagnoses, we praise you. Even when we have uncertainty about what is going on with our bodies or minds, we praise you. When we overcome whatever we are going through, Lord, we will not fail to give you all the honor and the glory. It’s in Jesus’s name that I pray. Amen.
