We need to pray for our husbands today and every day. Please join me in a word of prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you thanking you for our husbands.
Today, we lift them to you. We ask that you protect them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet all the days of their lives. Help them to be the men you created them to be and the husbands we need.
Keep them safe during their travels. Hide them from violence and the plans of evil people. Wherever they walk, secure their steps. Keep them on your path so their feet don’t slip. If their feet do slip, hold them up by your mercy. Give them the wisdom of discretion that will help them to walk safely and not fall into danger. Be their fortress, strength, shield, and stronghold. Make them to dwell in the shadow of your wings. Be their rock, salvation, and defense so they will not be moved or shaken. I pray that even though bad things may be happening around them, they will not come near our husbands. Save them from the plans of the enemy who seek to destroy their lives. Preserve their going and coming every day. Bless them with Godly role models and help them to be the fathers you would have them to be and that our children need.
Lord, we know good marriages are hard work, Lord. We ask that you would make us tools of reconciliation, peace, and healing in our marriages. Enable us to communicate well and rescue us from the threshold of separation where the reality of divorce begins. Continue to reveal to us that divorce is not an option.
Help us to be the wives our husbands need, and to be a tool for reconciliation, peace and healing in our marriages. Help us to be our husband’s best friend and for him to be ours.
Lord, we thank you for the blessing of our husbands. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
