The Momma Behind the Magic

If I were asked to sum up my life in three words, it would simply be faith, family, and fiction.

I’m here today, and I’m not ashamed to tell you God is the absolute head of my life. My husband, Greg, is the absolute love of my life, my baby girl is the absolute joy of my life, and fiction—writing, reading and editing it—gives me life.

Many of you may not realize the testimony behind this statement. When I moved back to Birmingham in 2006, I didn’t know who I was. I knew I had this dream inside me to write and make a difference, but people told me my dream couldn’t come true, and I believed them. I did a lot of soul searching, made a lot of mistakes, and cried a lot of tears on my journey to being absolutely sure of who and whose I am. Now I’m on a mission to help empower women—especially Birmingham moms like me—and help them stand in their truth, pursue their dreams, and release the magic that resides within each of us.

I’m looking forward to us taking the journey together.
