With school back in session, I decided to spotlight a book that will help young women in college as they journey to become all God wants them to be.
About the Book
The God Girl’s Guide to College Life is a 21-day devotional written by bestselling author Mya Kay. Many young women go off to college excited about embarking on a new journey. Today, these young women are battling with insecurities and identity issues like never before. Instead of turning to the world or social media for their answers, Mya encourages them to turn to Christ. Each prayer touches on a key area that Mya remembers struggling with during her college years, as well as things that she knows young women are faced with today. At the end of each prayer there’s a reality check, which shares a story from Mya’s college journey, scripture meditation, and reflection questions all designed to encourage young women to live for God no matter what. As a bonus, Mya includes a resource guide in the back that lists movies, television shows and music that are suitable for a Christian. There’s also video challenges in the book! In her own down-to-earth storytelling fashion, Mya believes this devotional will help young women build deeper roots into their faith while pursuing their God-given purpose. Grab a prayer journal and enjoy the journey!
