With the start of school right around the corner, I’m honored to have author Suzanne Weathers visiting today to share an excerpt from her book, Change Our Schools through Prayer.
Introduction
I had the Chief Academic Officer come and visit the campus, and he said something that I would never forget. He said, “You have to get out of this office and get on the floor. Half of the things that are happening wouldn’t if you were out there so they can see you. Your presence changes everything.”
What I heard in the spirit is: If you don’t get out there in that school, I can’t be out there, Suzanne. For the power and authority that I have given you is for this school. Everything and everyone in this building is subject to My spirit, to My power and authority. And as you walk these hallways and visit these classroom, you allow My spirit to permeate the atmosphere and establish Kingdom rulership.
Why Anoint?
The anointing destroys the yoke. (Isaiah 10:27)
You have been sent to your specific school district, not just to teach children the 3 R’s—Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. You have been assigned by God to be the watchmen in the wall secure your school through prayer. That’s why taking the time to anoint yourself and your school sets you and it up for success throughout the rest of the year. God’s anointing smears of His essence represented in oil form. God will use you to represent His essence and His anointing in the school.
