Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland Offers Fun for the Whole Family

shadracks-christmas-wonderland-instagramIf you love Christmas lights as much as I do, grab your family and head to Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, which is open from dusk to 10 p.m. every night until January 8. Located at 1000 John Rogers Drive in Birmingham, the attraction boasts 3.25 miles of custom-made displays that dance to the music played over the radio in your car in perfect synchronization.  You can also see the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS like you’ve never imagined with the custom-built, giant all-LED displays.

Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland goes to great lengths to create an attraction of this magnitude. According to the website, the creators uncovered a passion and followed their dreams. After physically crafting each element, placing and bracing them, tediously programming hundreds of thousands of lights to perform with music, they have managed to light up the nights.

There are thousands channels simultaneously directing the orchestra of lights. Using the most technologically advanced equipment in the industry, Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland magically expresses what Christmas means to us. Our hope is for this show to spark a smile on your face like it does ours.

Spreading Christmas cheer is our prime motivation and in doing so, we find great importance in giving back to our local community. This year the show is in six different cities across the country—Asheville, North Carolina; Sevierville, Tennessee; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Greenville, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina and Birmingham. Within those cities, Christmas Wonderland supports numerous charitable non-profit organizations.

Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is opened every night, including holidays, and in the rain. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are very popular nights to visit the lights show. Because of this, long lines should be expected and wait times can be long.

Tickets are purchased on-site from the comfort of your own vehicle.  They accept cash and credit cards. Discount tickets can also be pre-purchased at local Piggly Wiggly Birmingham stores.
