I have an addiction.
While some women are into shoes or purses, I love office supplies—specifically notebooks and planners. I’ve been that way since I was a kid. After my mother would take me school shopping, I would go home and count the pages in my new notebooks.
As an adult, I’m still into office supplies. If I need to relax, I will walk through the aisles of an office supply story. Nerdy, I know, but it works for me. I collect notebooks and Post-it Notes, and I get excited about getting a new paper planner every year. There’s something about flipping through the blank pages that speaks to me. Maybe it’s because I’m a writer.
Imagine my joy when I recently got to review planners for my weekly book column for Hope for Women magazine. Who knew there were so many amazing options available? To make it even better, most of the companies are owned by moms.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite picks with you. First up, the Plum Paper planner.
The Plum Paper planner is one of the most versatile planners on the market today. I love it because each planner is custom made. You can personalize the exterior with your name, your initials and a photo and the interior of the ME, which is their family planner, and their teacher editions can be personalized to include the classes you teach or spotlight various areas of your life in the weekly layout. In mine, I included custom labels for my daily appointments, God, my personal stuff, my family, my publishing company, my Magic City Momma blog and freelance work stuff. There have been a few minor updates for 2017.
The planner is great because the basic planner covers 12 months, and you can select your start month and add on additional sections for home, fitness tracking, direct sales, blog, wedding, classes if you’re in school, baby, meals, budget. You can also get additional add-ons for notes, to-do lists, bills, monthly cleaning, checklists, contacts and party planning.
In addition to the basic planner, Plum Paper also offers weekly and monthly planners, teacher and student planners, fitness planners, address books, memory keepers, and spiral notebooks. In addition to a huge variety of covers, you also have the option to order an interchangeable cover so you can change your cover throughout the year.
Plum Paper planners measure 7.5×9 inches, so they can be slipped into a workbag or diaper bag. They have a really nice coil binding, and the cover is made of a durable synthetic material that is waterproof and tear resistant, which is further protected by a clear overlay. After a few weeks of use my cover became a little scuffed, but it is still usable.
In addition to ordering a planner from Plum Paper online store, you can also get them from the company’s Etsy shop.
Check them out. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
