Tell me about your latest book.

Why did you decide to write it?
It was important to me that my story be told. Our culture is full of dynamic young people who need to know that all things are possible.
Who is your favorite character in the book and why?
My favorite character is me (Marcel Clarke). It took an incredible amount of resilience and perseverance to push through my challenges and transform my life.
What was the hardest part about writing the story?
The hardest part was reflecting on so many traumatic events and capturing them accurately.
If you were to write a book about your life, what would be the title and why?
Name: Hiding In Plain View / I’ve been living a public life for awhile now, but based on my past I’ve felt like I was hiding in plain view. That chapter closes on 02/18/2025.
What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
I would tell him that your life will be challenging, but if you stay focused and develop a relationship with God, you will be unstoppable.
What is something readers would be surprised to know about you?
I’ve always wanted to be a comedian. Now that I’m at a particular stage in life, I just might make that a goal.
Tell me about a book that changed your life and why.
Stephen Covey: [The 7] Habits of Highly Effective People. That book taught me to focus on my circle of influence and not on things that I have no control over.

Next up, I will focus on turning my book into a movie.
