For entrepreneur Keisha James, the future is sweet now that she has started her own business.
“Candy2Creation, LLC, was started thanks to my best friend and my husband. I made my first five bouquets to give away as gifts for my best friend’s baby shower games. They were a hit. After coming home and talking with my husband about the response I got about the bouquets, his first words were ‘My mom always told you how creative you are. You should sell your creations.’ From that day, I started establishing my business and I have never looked back,” said the company’s owner Keisha James.
The company has gained a reputation for unique creations that can be shipped anywhere within the United States. Delivery and setup can also be done locally in the Birmingham metro area within a 25-mile radius of downtown.
“Candy2Creation, LLC, offers a variety of custom bouquets, party favors, candy cakes, and candy buffets. My customers should always expect nothing less than five stars from exceptional customer service to my will-create-anything attitude. I always say, ‘you dream it, I create it,’” said James who was born and raised in Birmingham and also serves as an independent consultant for Paparazzi. “If you aren’t sure what to purchase, don’t hesitate to call for a free consultation. Every bouquet is made to order with the recipient in mind. We have five questions we ask to help guide the customer to the product that best suits them.”
In the midst of helping others identify their needs, James makes sure to keep her priorities straight and encourages other women to do the same.
“My advice for women juggling raising a family and pursuing their dreams is make time for family no matter what. It is a very difficult task to juggle them both, but it can and has been done. I teach my kids the business so that they may one day either run my empire or build their own. Most of the time when I am creating they are there watching and assisting where they can.”
The help will come in handy once James expands her business.
“The next step for Candy2Creation, LLC, is to open a storefront in the near future, preferably near the downtown area,” she said. “I would love to be a part of this history being made right here at home.”
