Is it just me, or does the school year seem to be getting shorter every year? The end of the school year means lots of celebrations as students prepare for summer and transition from one grade or phase of life to the next. Today, please join me in saying a prayer for our graduates.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you thanking you for this day. We thank you, Lord, for all your many blessings. We thank you for another opportunity to come before your throne of grace. Lord, we thank you for bringing us to the end of another school year—one that thanks to COVID has been different than anything many students have experienced. Today, we lift all of our graduates up to you. Whether the person is graduating from preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, high school, college, or graduate school, we ask your blessings upon their lives. Order their steps, and direct them on the path you would have them to go. We ask that you surround our graduates with a good support system and opportunities beyond their wildest dreams. Bless their parents and guardians, their teachers and their friends. Open doors for our graduates no man can open and close doors no man can close. Show them your will for their lives, and bless them with whatever they need to accomplish your will.
Lord, we thank you for our graduates. We thank you for keeping them thus far, and we ask that wherever the next phase of life takes them that you will be with them. Help them to keep their eyes on you, and bless them to be a reflection of you in all they do and say every day of their lives. In all they do, help them to always give you the honor and the glory. It’s in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen.
