Novelist, writer and published songwriter Francine Craft found a classic book changed her life.
What is the book that changed your life?
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
Why did it impact you?
The end of her life and much of her life was sad, but her book took off. There was an African-American author that I later studied with at Hampton, but the English writer’s story took over my mind, and I knew I had to write romance. I was in my teens somewhere and a bookworm from age three. Nightly my grandmother took me on her lap and read to me.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Another book that I feel that best fits this category is a gift of a King James version of the Holy Bible put out by Chris and Anita Yakilhome, the pastoring couple who are doing wonderful writing and work. Their work has turned me to biblical work, romantic and otherwise.
