Editor’s Note: This is the third part in the Nothing Beats a Woman with a Plan(ner) series. You can also learn about the Plum Paper planner and Day Designer.
I’m creative by nature, so when Erin Condren agreed to ship out its happy package, which included its Life Planner, for me to review for my weekly book column for Hope for Women magazine, I couldn’t help but get excited.
I had already been online and done my research, so based on the positive reviews, I knew it was a fabulous planner, and the package that I received had tons of goodies, which made me very happy.
The Erin Condren Life Planner has been building a huge following since the company launched its first website in 2005, which is also evidenced by owner Erin Condren’s appearance on The Ellen Show, The Today Show and a feature in Family Circle magazine, as well as the companies two state-of-the-art printing facilities in Los Angeles and Austin.
I love the planner because it appeals to my creative side. The bold colors and beautiful horizontal and vertical layouts just drew me in. With my nice-nasty personality, there is a fine line between stuff being too bright and just right. Erin Condren is just right. I couldn’t help but try my hand at decorating with the stickers Erin Condren includes in the planner, and I was also designing stickers and ordering them from Etsy to fill the pages.
You can get the planner personalized with your name and one additional line on the cover, or you can get the ready-to-ship version, which isn’t personalized. The planners measure about 7.25 by 9.25 inches, they have a coil binding, and there are vertical and horizontal layouts for the beautiful interior pages. There is also a zippered pocket to store stuff, and you have the option to purchase additional interchangeable covers, which you can personalize, and there are endless designs. New options are available at the beginning of the year and mid-year.
Many may consider the Life Planner to be somewhat on the pricey side (they cost around $50), but I understand why it’s is so popular. Whether you are looking for a 12- or 18-month, teacher or wedding planner, or address book, there is something for everyone, and there are plenty of accessories that are made especially for the Life Planner. Erin Condren also has a partnership with Staples for a more affordable option.
