I was at work the other day when I got notice that I had received a Top 50 Legends & Leaders for 2017 by Black Pearls Magazine for my blog, Book of Splond (formerly known as Magic City Momma). The honor is for those who support the African-American literary community and its authors, poets and leaders.
It’s no secret that I love books—I always have. To have that love validated through awards, reviews, and people reading my blog and my books is humbling for me. I just wanted to say thank you for your support by reading and spreading the word about my blog as well as to everyone who took the time to nominate and vote for me, and a special thanks to Ella D.
