This time of year, my mind always goes to the start of a new year. I find myself reflecting on what I’ve accomplished and looking ahead to the things I want to do. Call it the planner in me. This year is a little different though because it hit me the other day that in a couple months, we will enter a whole new decade. Isn’t that crazy? It has been almost 20 years since folks were freaked out about Y2K and stocking up on water and nonperishables because we were afraid computers were going to shut down at the stroke of midnight in 2000 and we wouldn’t be able to buy or do anything for days. It’s funny in hindsight, but back then, we were so serious and so scared.
With a new decade approaching, and before the madness of the holiday season erupts, now is a good time to take stock of your dreams. Have you accomplished the things you set out to do in 2019 or in this decade? If so, that’s great. If not, it’s not too late to get started. Here are a few scriptures about dreams to help get you on the right track.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
